Stack the Deck is a presentation using vivid stories of two disadvantaged youth who later married, had a great family, and became pillars in the community and their church. 

Larry LeBaron was raised in Mexico in the 40's and 50's in a fanatical polygamist sect. After the family escaped, Larry was placed in foster care for the rest of his Jr. High and High School years. Because of this, he had battle his way through the physical, emotional, and self-esteem issues associated with his experiences. He overcame the odds and chose a great life.

 Bonnie LeBaron was raised in a small town in Southern Utah in a family ravaged by an abusive alcoholic father. She overcame the violence in her home, the social stigmas associated with her situation, the pressures of her peers to become the valedictorian of her high school and the successful mother of 9 children. 

I share some of the pivot point decisions they made. Each story is related to today's youth and the power they have to overcome adversity, peer pressure, and issues with self esteem. This is a message of hope and inspiration that we can each grow through tough challenges to create a good life for ourselves and those that come after us.
