The Pushpin Challenge

Hi there! Want to upgrade your life? So do I.

My first blog ever is dedicated to a journey I recently started. I joined a group of like minded individuals who want to upgrade their lives. We have some great materials to guide our discussions, and lots of excitement to propel us to do things that will bring us closer to our goals and dreams. Sounds good, right?

Well, I have to admit that I was excited for the commitments we were making to timeless principles until we got to the paragraph called: "The paperclip challenge"...

It reads: "When you go home, find a paper clip (or another small item of small value like a pushpin or rubber band) to use for this activity. Start by trading your paper clip (or the small item you selected) with someone for an object that has more value. Continue making trades with people to exchange your object for something of even greater worth. Make trades with people both inside and outside of your family. Next week, report back to the group on your trading experience and the present object you ultimately earned."

I was completely scared of this challenge! But, I had signed my name promising to participate...

Enter Doctor Google! Go ahead try it...search "paper clip challenge." You'll come across a TEDx talk where a man recounts his journey. It was inspiring, and I felt deep inside that I could do this! I decided to upgrade my life with this challenge.
